Overview
VERNO ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered reputation operations platform for business owners. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using VERNO you agree to the practices described here.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your information with advertisers. We do not use your content to train AI models.
Information We Collect
Account information — Your email address and display name, collected at sign-up and stored securely via Supabase Auth.
Business profile data — Business name, category, location, platform URLs, and voice/tone preferences you enter during onboarding or in Settings.
Review content — Review text, reviewer names, star ratings, and platform labels you submit into VERNO for response generation or integrity analysis. This content belongs to you.
AI-generated responses — The responses VERNO generates are saved to your account so you can access, copy, or delete them later.
Case and dispute data — Case details, timeline events, and appeal drafts you create within the Cases tab.
Competitor entries — Business names, platforms, ratings, and notes you manually add to Competitor Intelligence.
Usage data — The number of AI generations used per month, subscription plan, and timestamps of key actions for quota management.
API Keys
If you choose to connect your own OpenAI or Claude API key, that key is stored locally on your device using encrypted secure storage. We do not transmit your API key to our servers. We do not log, read, or retain your key in any form. Our built-in AI (powered by Google Gemini) requires no key from you.
Subscriptions and Payments
Subscription purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. VERNO does not handle payment card data directly. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and entitlement verification. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and your subscription status. We do not share your email with RevenueCat by default. For RevenueCat's privacy practices, visit revenuecat.com/privacy.
Data Storage and Security
Your account data, business profiles, response history, cases, and competitors are stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database. Data is protected by row-level security — only you can access your own records. Our AI generation backend communicates with Google Gemini. Review text and business context are transmitted to generate responses but are not stored on AI servers beyond the duration of the request.
Google Business Profile Integration
VERNO offers optional Google Business Profile integration. When you connect your Google account, we request only the minimum permissions needed — read-only access to your reviews and business data. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.
Data Export
You can export your VERNO data at any time from Settings → Export My Data. The export includes your profile, businesses, response history, cases, competitors, and preferences in JSON format. For a complete cloud export including all historical data, contact privacy@joinvernoai.com.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account from Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing support@joinvernoai.com with the subject "Delete My VERNO Account." Deletion removes your profile, business data, response history, cases, and competitor entries from our systems. Some anonymised records or billing information may be retained as required by law.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your business information, review content, or personal data with advertisers or third parties for marketing. We share data only with the service providers described in this policy — Supabase, RevenueCat, and Google Gemini — strictly as necessary to operate VERNO.
Children's Privacy
VERNO is intended for business owners and operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove the data promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of VERNO after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
